GEOSS Midterm Evaluation Interview: The Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) is conducting its first midterm evaluation. GEOSS is reaching its midpoint, since the adoption in 2005 of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Implementation Plan towards a complete GEOSS by 2015. Jeff Key was interviewed by a co-chair of the GEOSS Evaluation Team, Yana Gevorgyan (NESDIS/IIA). The purpose of the interview was to obtain views on GEOSS planning, implementation, and progress that has been made thus far. Key is involved in GEOSS through the Integrated Global Observing Strategy (IGOS) Cryosphere Theme and as a collaborator on a subtask in the GEO Work Plan. (J.
