UW-CIMSS and ASPB Participation at the AMS Annual Meeting: Many Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) and Advanced Satellite Products Branch (ASPB) scientists attended the 91st American Meteorological Society's (AMS) Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington from January 23-27, 2011. Over 35 CIMSS and ASPB papers and posters were presented at the conference, covering a wide variety of topics. The Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) also maintained an exhibit booth during the meeting to demonstrate some of our latest research, science globe, and visualization tools. Interview on the ABI by Space News: T. Schmit was interviewed by Space News at the 91st American Meteorological Society's (AMS) Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington. The topic was the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES)-R Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI), which was presented at the Seventh Annual Symposium on Future Operational Environmental Satellite Systems.
