Heidinger Visits KMA: A. Heidinger visited the Korean Meteorological Agency (KMA) as part of a STAR delegation. The other STAR members included Jamie Daniels, Fuzhong Weng, Changyong Cao and Bob Kuligowski. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the GOES-R algorithms and opportunities for future collaboration. KMA is considering the purchase a satellite imager similar to that on GOES-R. (A. ITEMS FOR THE DIVISION CHIEF, CoRP:

Ongoing Support as GOES-14 becomes Operational 'East' Satellite: In continuing support of mitigating the recent anomalies seen with the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES)-13 Imager and Sounder (http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/SATS/bulletins.html), CIMSS instituted several new loops of GOES-12 Imager data to provide support for National Weather Service (NWS) personnel in Puerto Rico (http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/goes/realtime/latamer/anigicar.html).
