Asia CryoNet Workshop: The World Meteorological Organization held its First Asia CryoNet meeting in Beijing, China, 2-5 December 2013, hosted by the China Meteorological Administration (CMA). CryoNet is the surface-based network of WMO's Global Cryosphere Watch (GCW) program. The focus of this meeting was snow and ice measurements in the "Third Pole" (Himalaya) region. Participants were from China, Pakistan, India, Japan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, USA, Canada, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. Jeff Key was the workshop chair and a co-organizer. The U.S. Department of State (through WMO) and CMA provided funding for the meeting. (J. Key, E/RA2, 608-263-2605, jkey@ssec.wisc.edu) 

ASPB Completes the 2013 Combined Federal Campaign: The Advanced Satellite Products Branch (ASPB) completed the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) during December 2013 with a donation total of over $4600 to the Badgerland CFC in Madison, WI. One NOAA Office of Atmospheric Research (OAR) colleague, who splits time at the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS), also contributed to this generous total from the NOAA contingent at the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS), wherein the ASPB is stationed in Madison.
