CCL Algorithm Readiness Review: The Cloud Cover Layers (CCL) Algorithm Readiness Review (ARR) was passed last week. The ARR applied to the CCL slated to run on GOES-R in the official GOES-R Ground System. This version of CCL is an expanded 5-layer product whose requirements were defined by the National Weather Service Operational Algorithm Team (NOAT). CCL is one of five products requested by the NOAT for transition to operational status. (A. Heidinger, E/RA2, 608-263-6757, andrew.heidinger@noaa.gov)
