DATA, INFORMATION, AND USE-INSPIRED SCIENCE:

Contrail Detection for Boeing/NASA Mission: The Boeing/NASA ecoDemonstrator mission studying how sustainable aviation fuels effect contrail formation has requested GOES-18 1-minute mesoscale imagery during test flights. A contrail detection product developed at UW/SSEC/CIMSS, in combination with the ABI Cloud Height Algorithm (ACHA), is available in support of this mission. (J. Hoffman, CIMSS, 608-890-1690, W.
