Comparison of the CIMSS winds program with a Test winds program to identify changes caused by MODIS calibration alterations and multi-satellite winds.

  • There are two processing paths for the test winds: one for Terra and one for Aqua.

  • The possibilities are: ATA, TAT, ATT, AAT, AAA, TAA, TTA, TTT. There are Terra and Aqua wind files, although it's not specifically noted which image in the triplet is that satellite. The comparisons here rely on the ADDE server to tell which is comparing with which. Thus, the TERRA ADDE server for the test winds are compared with the TERRA Chinnok winds

  • Both Programs use middle image targeting and the GFS model.
