There are three different histograms for each pole and for each satellite. Each histogram represents a
different number of
times the data has been processed. The first run is made when the inital data is received. The remaining
runs are made later after more data is received, possibly receiving some early data that was missed.
The histograms compare the total number of good winds received to the frequency of that value received
over time.
We're looking for a high frequency of a large number of good winds on the first run, preferrably.
However, we will see that on the 2nd and 3rd runs, we now have more data and a higher frequency of
a larger value of winds received.
Analysis begins on Day 274 (2002) and goes through Day 364 (2003).
