Lag-time refers to the time lapse between the real-time of an image and the final time the
image is received after processing.
NOTE:
For all histograms, each bar represents 15 minutes before and after every hour or half hour, respectively.
NOTE:
Each data run represents the number of times a satellite image has been processed for the purpose of plotting the maximum number
of wind vectors. Each image, or frame number, corresponds to a specific real-time. The final time at which the image has completed processing is subtracted from its corresponding
real-time to obtain the lag-time, or the total time it takes to receive and process a satellite image. Thus, the first run represents the time the data was initially received and processed. The
remaining runs represent all the lag-times of data that has been processed more than once.
NOTE:
Data received within the 00Z and 12Z cycles is used for processing wind vectors.
