NOAA Mid-Level Retreat:
R. Aune attended the NOAA Mid-Level Retreat at Airlie Center,
Warrenton, VA. The theme of the retreat was on moving
toward "One NOAA". Each of the 140 participants was asked to
provide a "One NOAA Success Story" involving themselves or their branch
and was asked to discuss it personnel from other NOAA line
offices. The stories focused on how success was accomplished by
collaborating across NOAA line office boundaries. The retreat
gave participants from the field an opportunity to see how NOAA
operates inside and outside the Beltway and what expertise is required
to advance up the ranks within NOAA. (R.Aune, E/RA2,
