AGU Satellite Observations for Air Quality Applications Sessions: The
American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall meeting (Dec 10-14, 2007, San
Francisco, CA) included four special sessions (one poster, three oral)
that focused on the use of satellite observations for air quality
applications (R. B. Pierce, NOAA/NESDIS, J. Crawford, NASA, D. Jacob,
Harvard session chairs). Results from Real-time Air Quality Modeling
System (RAQMS) chemical data assimilation studies were presented in a
special session that focused on the assimilation of satellite and in
situ measurements of atmospheric chemistry. (R.B. Pierce, E/RA2,

ITEMS FOR THE DIVISION CHIEF, CoRP:
ASPB Completes Pledges for 2008 CFC: The Advanced Satellite Products Branch (ASPB) completed its pledge drive for the 2008 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), with full participation from all members as well as a couple of NOAA retirees/associates. This year's pledge from nine contributors topped $3800, the largest so far. In south central Wisconsin, the CFC is conducted through the United Way of Dane County. (G.S.
