GOES-R Aviation Seminar at NOAA CREST: Wayne Feltz gave a seminar titled "GOES-R Aviation Algorithm Working Group - Toward Meeting Aviation and Nowcasting Related Requirements for Convection, Turbulence, and Volcanic Ash" at the NOAA Cooperative Remote Sensing Science and Technology Center (CREST), City College of New York on March 27, 2008. Discussion about areas of collaboration between the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS), Dr. Mahani, Dr. Khanbilvardi, and CREST students occurred specifically within hydrological nowcasting and GOES-R risk reduction.
