ASPB Completes CFC Pledge Drive: By 4 December
2008, the StAR Advanced Satellite Products Branch (ASPB) completed the
Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) pledge drive for contributions in 2009.
Along with a part-time NOAA (but non-NESDIS) colleague, co-located with
ASPB, more than 100% participation was achieved with eight (8) donors
contributing a total of over $3600. The United Way of Dane
County coordinates the CFC in southcentral Wisconsin. (G.S. Wade,

ITEMS FOR THE DIVISION CHIEF, CoRP:
Presentation Given at a GOES Workshop at TPC: Three presentations were (remotely) given at a Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) workshop at the Tropical Prediction Center (TPC). The topics included GOES-13/O/P, the ABI (Advanced Baseline Imager), ABI for continuity of current Sounder products, simulated imagery, and the ABI and GOES Imager and Sounder Weighting Function web-based tool.
