CIMSS-NOAA WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK ENDING FEBRUARY 21, 2025
DATA, INFORMATION, AND USE-INSPIRED SCIENCE:
GOES-19 Ice Products Provisional Review: The GOES-19 Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) sea and lake ice products Provisional Peer/Stakeholder - Product Validation Review (PS-PVR) was held on 19 February 2025. The Provisional Maturity Review evaluated the status of the ABI Ice Concentration and Ice Age/Thickness products. The GOES-R Cryosphere Team presented validation results for the ice products. As Feng He and Xuanji Wang (CIMSS) reported, the Ice Concentration and Ice Age/Thickness products meet the accuracy and precision requirements.
