David Johnson Award, presented by the National Space Club in honor of the first Administrator of what was to become the NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service, or NESDIS. This award is given to young professionals who have developed an innovative application of Earth observation satellite data (alone or in combination with non-satellite data) that is, or could be, used for operational purposes to assess and/or predict atmospheric, oceanic or terrestrial conditions. Lifetime Space Achievement award
...The Hill Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Space Foundation and is presented annually in honor of its late, long-time chairman, retired U.S. Air Force General James E. Hill. The award recognizes outstanding individuals who have distinguished themselves through lifetime contributions to the welfare or betterment of humankind through the exploration, development and use of space, or the use of space technology, information, themes or resources in academic, cultural, industrial or other pursuits of broad benefit to humanity. Nominations are solicited from throughout the space industry worldwide, with the honoree selected by the board of directors of the Space Foundation. Deadline for nominations: October 14?
AMS Suomi award is granted to individuals in recognition of highly significant technological achievement in the atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. The term ÒtechnologicalÓ is here used in the broadest sense; it encompasses the entire spectrum of observational, measurement, data transmission, and data analysis and synthesis methodologies. The award is in the form of a medallion.
